Chris Bernard is the founder of italics media. He lives and works in South Portland, Maine.

A former newspaper managing editor and magazine journalist, he is currently a senior copywriter for an advertising agency supporting the health care industry. He's also worked in marketing and technical writing, and has won awards for his journalism, columns, public relations and other work, as well as awards for his photography. His fiction has appeared in numerous magazines and journals, and he was a featured writer at the 2007 Boston Fiction Festival and in the Trumpet Fiction reading series in New York.
